Raskhan

Raskhan (1548-1628) was a poet who was both a Muslim and follower of Lord Krishna. His real name was Sayyad Ibrahim. There are differences in the opinion of scholars regarding his year of birth. Most of the scholars are of the view that Raskhan was a Pathan Sardar and his birthplace was Amroha in the Moradabad district in India. Raskhan wrote in Hindi and Persian. He translated "Bhagwat Purana" into Persian. His poetry focuses on Lord Krishna. He wrote Sujan Raskhan and Prem Vatika.
